Niki Words provides an educational platform for children to learn letter sounds (phonics) and over 350 practical words through engaging gameplay. The app integrates several interactive activities designed to enhance language skills in an enjoyable manner.

PLAY WITH WORDS - Children can drag letters to form words that correspond to pictures. The app initially pronounces the word and the picture when touched, with individual letters pronounced upon selection. Once the word is completed, it is spelled out and pronounced. The difficulty levels are customizable, allowing educators to disable visual hints (such as placeholder letters), show only the relevant subset of the alphabet, or include distractor letters to increase challenge. Words are categorized into 18 themes, including animals, body parts, emotions, clothing, food, home, and school, with a dedicated subset featuring short words (four letters or fewer).

CROSSWORDS - This activity involves dragging letters to solve crossword puzzles. Letters are pronounced when touched, and the complete word is announced once the puzzle is solved or when the picture is touched. Difficulty adjustments enable disablement of visual hints to suit different learning stages.

MAGIC BLACKBOARD - A creative segment where children can freely place letters on a virtual blackboard, fostering imagination and manual dexterity. Letters are articulated when touched; a long press deletes individual letters. The blackboard can be cleared using an eraser tool or by shaking the device for a more interactive experience.

The app also allows children to customize their experience by choosing letter colors and styles (uppercase, lowercase, cursive). Additionally, users can switch languages among English, French, Italian, and Swedish, and arrange letter inputs according to different keyboard layouts (QWERTY or AZERTY).

Built on the Montessori Method, Niki Words aims to leverage children's innate curiosity and capacity for self-directed learning, supporting their developmental needs through carefully designed educational interactions.
